Diorama Ideas / Tips

Normally I work on  my Linka Models, but I purchased this sports car & caravan and thought I would give  it a a bit of scenery.
Although I did it a while ago I found these pictures and thought I would post before I delete them.

This is my 1:43 Sport car & caravan. I had to have a go at diorama, first time, still practicing.

Below are the pics:

I Had some plaster left from my linka models so I decided to make a road and scenery for my model car.
While the plaster was still damp I ran the car along it to give it tyre tracks.
The Wall was made with Tiny stones that I found , the were from a bag of Westland Potting Grit , Purchased from  a garden centre or DIY store. Use Pva wood glue to build up in stages allowing each layer to dry before applying the next one.
The Greenery was Scenic Lichen and the flowers were Flower soft.

The Road was painted using watercolours , when dry I brushed on some pva glue and dropped on some dry sand and bits of grit ,It's amazing what you can find in the other half's shed.

This was the beginning of a bush that I made for my Linka church.
I had collect some dried stems in the garden from my Astilbee plants after they had flowered and were dry. These are great for trees & bushes. The fast tack Glue is easier to use for glueing the flower Soft to the dried Astilbee stems, You can keep on building on top of each laying drying inbetween layers
I purchased my Flower Soft on Ebay, there's always someone selling things that they no longer use.
Milliput is brilliant for attaching your trees to the diorama, sets within hours, can be painted or use glue to add scenic grass.
